Emma Edna Butte, 75, died on May 11, 2008 at Geneva, Ohio. She was born January 22, 1933 in Mentor, Ohio, the daughter of Leon D. and Marion L. (Rood) Barnum and had been an area resident most of her life.
Her survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lynn Butte, whom she married October 14, 1947; eight children, Nancy (Roy) Mampel of SC, JoAnn Jones of ID, Lynn (Cathy) Butte, Jr. of MI, Judy (Ted) Fronk of Parma, Bonnie Aponte of CA, Garry (Jeanine) Butte of AR, and Sharon (Roy) Tereba and Betty Hernandez, both of Geneva; 83 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and 3 on the way; one sister, Lillian Kirkenburg of Ashtabula; many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend and caregiver, Paula Cauffield.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Butte; one sister, Evelyn Alexander; two brothers, Richard “Milo” Barnum and Leon M. Barnum; and her parents.
