Chardon - Elsie Painter, 79, died of natural causes Sunday (Aug. 9, 1992) in Claridon Township, Geauga County, Ohio Born Oct. 7, 1912 in Claridon Township, to Hiram and Ella (Gould) Barnum, she was a resident of Chardon Village for the past 56 years. She worked as a homemaker. Elsie Barnum married Robert Painter on Dec. 17, 1928; in Butler, Pa. Survivors include her husband; one son Keith of Chardon; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Irena Barnum of Willoughby; and two brothers, Bert Barnum of Willoughby and Bob Barnum of Chardon. She was preceded in death by her parents. Burial will be in Chardon Cemetery.
She was buried in Chardon Cemetery.
