WWI Draft Registration, 12 September 1918: Frank Pratt Hanson, Fairview, Kansas, age 43, born Aug. 23, 1875, Occupation: farmer, Employer: J. M. Allison, Fairview, Kansas. Nearest relative: Grace Belle Hanson, Fairview, Kansas. Medium height, Medium build, gray eyes, brown hair.
Obituary: Frank Pratt Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Hanson, was born 6 miles west of Hiawatha, Kans., Aug. 23, 1875, died Dec. 17, 1930 at the Bell Memorial hospital, Kansas City, Kans., at the age of 55 years, 8 months, 24 days. Sept. 29, 1897, Mr. Hanson was married to Miss Grace Barnum, to which union four sons, three daughters were born: Clark, Fred, Lucille,
Vella, Thelma, Raymond - Leland having died in 1919, at the age of 24 years. Frank, as he was commonly known, had been in poor health for more than a year. Recently he was taken to the Bell Memorial hospital for an operation from which he did not recover. He leaves to mourn their loss his father, mother, six children, a large number of relatives, friends. Body bearers at the
funeral, Friday, Dec. 19, were Frank Wharton, Chas. Holman, Wm. Pfister, Loy Dawson, L. Heidenreich, Frank Barnum. Mrs O. M. Neff, her son, Leroy, sang. J. T. Sapp was the officiating minister, with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Frank is buried in the family plot at Mount Hope Cemetery with Father & Mother, Irving and Louvicia.
