Obituary of Eric Alan Barnum December 6, 1972 – August 8, 2018 Some of the greatest minds charted the course for the future of innovation at Boeing, and Eric Barnum was one such individual. Eric Barnum, CAEPD Lead Engineering Manager at Boeing for twenty years led many successful and creative projects for Boeing. During his years of service with Boeing, Barnum had assignments on the most elite aircrafts in America. Eric’s dad told him, “Reach for the stars, if you don’t succeed, reach again.” Eric did reach and he did succeed. Eric Barnum died on August 8 in Swedish Edmonds Campus in Seattle, Washington. He was 45. Eric had a creative and fun spirit. He loved the waters of Lake Erie, Georgia Tech, Star Wars, chess, sports, cats, and spending time with family and friends. Eric also did volunteer work for Boeing with children in need, and avidly supported the SPECA. Eric is survived by his wife, Sandra Anderson Barnum; his parents, Joel and Loretta Barnum; his sister, Bonnie (Terry) Barnum Daughenbaugh; Sandra’s parents, Dwayne and Lois Anderson; and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. A private memorial service will be held by his family. The family would like to express our thanks for the care given by Swedish Edmonds staff.
