From the Anchorage Daily News, Anchorage, Alaska, October 9, 2011: William P. Barnum, 78 died Friday September 9, 2011 in Gardnerville, Nevada. Services were held at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville on September 17, 2011. Born January 14, 1933, to Harry D. and Blodwyn E. Barnum in Placervville, California. Second of four children: brother, Harry Jr. (deceased) and sisters Patricia Kruger, and Diane Holman of Anchorage, Alaska. He traveled and lived in many states from Alaska to Nevada. In a previous marriage he had five children: Terry (deceased), Jennifer (deceased), Bridgette Barnum of Wasilla, Alaska, William S. Barnum of Cantonment, Florida, and Michael P. Barnum of Pensacola, Florida. He worked, lived and retired in Gardnerville, Nevada over the past 25-30 years with his wife Lorrie and daughter Kristina. He was a published author who wrote the book "Black is the Sea'', and was working on a manuscript at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his wife Lorrie. He is survived by his remaining children and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
