His sister got Harold to go to Washington and encouraged him to hook up with his brother John's widow Maude. They did marry and they went back to Arlington and lived 5 months but it did not work out. Story has it Maude wanted her hair done and needed someone to drive her, and Harold told her he was not going to have someone stop working to drive her, so that burned her and she left. The marriage was annulled.
