Very little is known of Nathan's life. He and his wife Sarah disappeared from Chenango County after 1860 and their death dates are not known.
The 1850 US Census for Greene, Chenango County, New York shows Nathan Burrows, 55 years old, b. Connecticut and Sarah/Sally, 48 years old, b. Connecticut. The 1860 census data for the same location shows Nathan as 66 years old and Sally 58 years old, with both born in Connecticut.
