Attended Oberlin College. Graduate of Geneva College, Beaver Falls, Pa. Devoted member of Oakland Park/Overbrook Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Preceded in death by parents William and Olivette Hoffman, brother Phillip Hoffman, grandson David Carlton, loving husband Frank Barnum, 3 step-sons James, Frank and William Barnum. Survived by daughters, Ruth (Michael) Carlton and Donna (Gary) Coolidge; son, Ebert Mitchell (Myrna) Long III; grandchildren, Ebert Mitchell Long IV, Laura Prey, Heather Berge, Stephen Scott Larrick, Nancy Larrick, Andrew Carlton, Matthew Carlton, James Carlton, Sarah Carlton, Ann Carlton, Daniel Carlton and Jennifer Carlton; 10 great-grandchildren; nephews, Phillip and David Hoffman; dear cousin, Lucille Boyes. Service in Celebration of Helen's life will be held Thursday, December 23 at 3 p.m. at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High St., Columbus. Friends are invited to meet with the family in the church parlor after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's name may be made to The Mission Fund at Overbrook Presbyterian Church.
