Cornelia Willis's sister, Mary Willis, married Edwin Porter of Massachusetts and lived in Richmond, Virginia. Edwin was in the shipping and stagecoach business. In Edwin Porter's lot (Range 12, Quarter Section 4) in Shockoe Cemetery in Richmond, is the following inscription: "Cornelia Porter/ Daughter of/ Russell A & Cornelia G./ Barnum/ of New York/ Born Nov 11, 1826/ Died May 3, 1832." She was 5 1/2 years old and must have been visiting at the time. Or perhaps she, like some other family members, was afflicted with a lung condition and needed to be in the warmer South. (She shares one face of the monument with cousin who lived in Vergennes, Vermont, but went to live in Richmond for the climate.)
