Wholesale Chemical Firm. Special to the New York Times. Pelham Manor, N. Y., Jan. 17.--William Newton Barnum, treasurer of the R. W. Greeff Company, wholesale chemical firm in New York, died here today at his home after an illness of six months. His age was 50 years. Mr. Barnum was born in Brooklyn, a son of William A. and Harriet Newton Barnum, and was graduated from Amherst College in 1911. He was a member of the Uptown Club of New York, the Pelham Country Club and the Larchmont Shore Club. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Josephine Johnson Barnum; a son, William N. Barnum Jr.; a daughter, Josephine Barnum, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel B. Howell, all of Pelham Manor.
