Notes from Margaret Munday Manning: Military Service: US Army Infantry, approx. 1943-1947. Officer's Training School in Ft. Benning, GA. Served in Kassel, Germany. Education: Earned his B.A. degree at Stanford U. & contonued thru Law School at Stanford receiveing his LLB degree in 1952. Work: Worked in Dist. Atty's office in Santa Cruz, CA for 2 years, then opened his own private practice office, which he maintained until his death. General: He was a great & very compassionate person with a great sense of humor, good jokes & stories, and a devoted husband & father. He worked so hard in the service training to become an officer, then thru law school. It was heart breaking to see him become ill after getting started in his law practice & pass away at age 40.
