He was listed in the 1910 census as William Earl Barnum. Later censuses and his gravestone call him Earl Wilbur Barnum. Findagrave #122097670.
From the Humboldt Standard, Saturday, October 11, 1958: Earl Wilbur Barnum, 56, died in Sacramento on October 3 where he had been making his home for the past four months. Prior to that, he was in business in Eureka and the Dunsmuir area as a contractor. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Roberta Barnum of Sacramento; two sons, Wesley J. Barnum of Sacramento and Earl R. Barnum of Eureka; four grandchildren, Terry and Vicky Barnum of Sacramento; and Earl Scott and Timmy Barnum of Eureka; two sisters Mrs. Orva Gosney of Hornbrook and Mrs. Nellie Winston (sic should be Windsor) of Yreka; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A funeral mass was said in Yreka on Tuesday morning, with graveside rites at Hornbrook.
