Notes for Gloria BARNUM


From the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Daytona Beach, FL, July 24, 2013: Gloria B. Ray of Ormond Beach, FL was born on May 19, 1930 in Newfane, NY to the late Clifford T. Barnum and Gladys C. Barnum nee Bangham. She passed away on July 14, 2013 in Daytona Beach, FL at the age of 83 years. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Daytona Beach, FL. Gloria enjoyed playing bridge, and spending time with her family and friends. Gloria was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Newfane Chapter # 743, in Burt, NY. She also had a love for music; Gloria played the organ at Faith United Methodist Church in Barker, NY where she was a member until her relocation, and the piano for Sunday school at Community United Methodist Church in Daytona Beach, FL. She relocated to Ormond Beach, FL from Barker, NY in 1991. In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert H. Ray in 1994, and her son Robert Paul Ray in 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bartholomew of Ormond Beach, FL and Deborah Zarajczyk and husband, Bruce of Palm Coast, FL; her sister-in-law, Geraldine Barnum of AZ, five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Gloria will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Community United Methodist Church.
