From the Utica Observer-Dispatch, Utica, New York, Friday, July 19, 1935: Mrs. Eliza Cozier Barnum, widow of I. C. McIntosh, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Frank Wood, 1217 Kemble Street, Friday, July 19, 1935 at 8 o’clock. She was one of the oldest residents of Utica. She was the daughter of the late Ezra Smith Barnum and Mary Ostrom and was born at their home on Hotel Street, March 8, 1838. Her father and mother were the first couple married in old Trinity Church, Broad Street. Mrs. McIntosh was educated at James Lombard Schools and later at Miss Kelly’s well known school. She was married to Mr. McIntosh February 16, 1865, and lived all of her life in Utica. She is survived by five children: Mrs. William B. Crouse and Mrs. Frank Wood, both of Utica; Mr. George McIntosh, New York; Mrs. W.D. Pomeroy, Seneca Falls, Mrs. Robert G. Campbell, Deansboro. One son, Robert Andrew McIntosh died in 1912. Mrs. McIntosh also leaves six grandchildren.
