A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Grosse Point News, Thursday, February 8, 1951: Engagements Announced. This past week-end was chosen by two brides-elect to share their wedding plans with their friends.
On Sunday afternoon the group of young people gathered for cocktails at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rockwell of Balfour road, learned of Joan Rockwell's engagement to Malcolm McGregor Barnum.
Malcolm is the son of Mrs. Richard Fyfe Barnum of Yorkshire road, and the late Mr. Barnum.
Joan and Malcolm are both graduates at the University of Michigan. They will be married in the Spring.
The bride-elect, who chose a Winter white shantung frock trimmed with rhinestone buttons for her engagement party, is a graduate of Liggett and Pine Manor Junior College. She belongs to Tau Beta and was presented to society at a Christmas holiday tea, the season of 1946.
