From the Daily Messenger, Canandaigua, NY, August, 25, 1952, p. 3: Frank J. Barnum, 72, died Sunday, August 24, 1952 in Thompson Hospital after a short illness. Born May 15, 1880, he was the son of the late William M. and Martha Hyde Barnum and had spent his entire life on the family homestead, Canandaigua RD 5. He was a member of the Academy Grange, the Canandaigua Maccabees and the Cheshire Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maude Roper Barnum; one son, William J. of Canandaigua; one brother Fred of Cheshire; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial in Pine Bank Cemetery, Cheshire.
