From the Daily Messenger, Canandaigua, NY, June 24, 1955, p. 3: Mrs. Maude Roper Barnum, 71, widow of Frank J., died at her home Canandaigua RD 5, Thursday, June 23, 1955. She was born Sept. 5, 1883 in the town of Canandaigua and was a lifelong resident of this vicinity. She was the daughter of the late John F. and Ida B. Smith Roper. Survivors include one son, William Barnum, Canandaigua; four grandchildren, Bonnie Jeanne, William Jr., Gayle Ann and Duannah Carol Barnum. Interment Pine Bank Cemetery.
