From the Rock Springs Daily Rocket-Miner, Jan 19, 1974: Funeral services for Charles B. Barnum, 63, 1027 N. Front, Rock Springs, were conducted Monday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Rogan Funeral Chapel. Robert Majhanovich of the Jehovah Witnesses officiated. Burial was in the family plot at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Jim Barnette, Barney Barnette, Ed Pierotto, Leonard Cordova, Craig Denny and Chuck Walker.
Mr. Barnum died Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.
He was born April 16, 1910 in Ocate, N.M.
Mr. Barnum was a retired coal miner and had been a resident of the area for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine, Rock Springs; three sons, John Barnum, Green River, Sammy Barnum and Robert Barnum, both of Rock Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Secundina (Evelyn) Sandoval, Raton, N.M., Mrs. Earl S. (Bessie) Rhoades, Tallahassee, Fla., Mrs. Thomas (Eunice) Hatchio, San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Thomas Barnum, Castro Valley, Calif., and Anthony Barnum, Denver, Colo.; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
