Silas Barnham truly lived in interesting times, having been born in the French Empire during the second year of the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte and in the year of the famous Battle of Austerlitz. His occupation of missionary was somewhat unusual in the US 1850. The connection of his family to the rest of the Barnum/Barnham family tree has not been discovered.
