He was baptised Walter Thompson Poyntz, according to the OIOC record. That record has the note 'privately' above the baptism date - presumably to indicate a baptism performed at home.
Thompson Chamarette was a lieutenant and Quartermaster, H.E.H. (His Exalted Highness) the Nizam's Artillery and was present at the great Delhi Durbar of 1911 in that capacity. He later served as Chief of Staff, H.E.H. The Nizam's Army, and was a strong supporter of the Saint Georges Community and Church, serving on both church and school commissions.
Actually baptised Walter Thompson Poyntz. It has note 'privately' above the baptism date.
The place given is Chudderghaut Cochin Coonsor(?), which is at least two widely separate places. I have assumed Chaderghat arbitrarily.
He was buried in the European Cemetery. Maj. (ret.), State Forces B, No., 413.
