From The Times Record, Troy, New York, Saturday, June 8, 1935: Mrs. James S. McGan died yesterday afternoon at her residence, 175 Paine Street, Green Island, after a brief illness. She was born in Green Island and always resided there.
She was formerly Susan Barnum. Mrs. McGan attended St Joseph's Church. She was a past president of Webster Bailey Auxiliary.
Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louis Bolles; three sons, James P., Francis L. and George P. McGan, all of Green Island; her father, Ashbell A. Barnum of Schenectady; four sisters, Mrs. Victor Abrams of Troy, Mrs. Margaret Brandt of Schenectady,
Mrs. Alice Chard of Green Island and Mrs. Albert Howarth of Dryden, N. Y., and two brothers Norman A. Barnum of Cromwell, Connecticut and John E. Barnum of Schenectady. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from the residence and from St. Joseph's Church, where at 9:30 o'clock a requiem mass will be celebrated. Interment will be In St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy.
