Clarence Barnum, 50, bus driver and proprietor with his wife of a variety store in Albia, died suddenly shortly after 11 am today at his residence. Coroner Anthony Matera gave a decision of death due to natural causes. Mr. Barnum had suffered from a heart condition for some time. Born in Averill Park, Mr. Barnum had resided in Troy for many years. He became associated with the District Transportation Co. on July 15, 1929 as a bus driver. Mr. Barnum had driven on most lines operated by the company and was widely known. He is survived by his wife the former Ruth Stock, a daughter, Mrs. Donald Dunham of Poestenkill and three brothers, William and Harry of Averill Park and Clayton Barnum of Crooked Lake.
