A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From The Naples Record, Naples, N.Y., Wednesday, May 18, 1955: Mrs. Linus A. Barnum—Mrs. Bessie L. Barnum, 81, widow of Linus A. Barnum, died last Thursday, May 12, 1955, at her home in New Baltimore, Michigan. She was born February 2, 1874, in Bloomfield, N. Y., a daughter of Eugene and Sophia Bruzee. Mr. Barnum died about a year ago.
She is survived by four sons and one daughter: George Barnum, of Detroit, Michigan; L. Eugene Barnum, of Naples, N.Y.; Claude Barnum, of Mt. Clemens, Michigan; Rev. Clayton Barnum, of Petoskey, Michigan; and Miss Leola Barnum, a missionary stationed in India; two sisters, Mrs. Isa Alford, of Bristol Springs, N. Y., and Mrs. Elizabeth Morse, of Rochester, N. Y.; several grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, May 16, from the Congregational church in New Baltimore, Rev. R. J. Striffler officiating. Interment was made in Clinton Grove Cemetery, Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
