From the Delphos Republican, Delphos, Kansas, June 19, 1941: Buried in Delphos. Ray Barnum Brought Here For Burial. Ray Eugene Barnum was born April 4, 1884 in Delphos, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Miss Golda Burger in 1907 at Randall, Kansas. To this union three children were born: one son and two daughters, all living at Atoka, Oklahoma, Buford, Barbara and Beatrice Lee. From 1907 to 1923 Mr. Barnum was engaged in the banking business in Driftwood, Oklahoma. He later moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma, living there one year. He moved to Atoka, Oklahoma in 1928 where he resided till the time of his death. He was converted and united with the First Baptist Church of Driftwood in 1907. He was ordained as a deacon in his home church of Atoka 11 years ago. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Besides his wife and children, Mr. Barnum leaves one brother, Mr. Cecil Barnum of Leon, Iowa, and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at the Delphos Cemetery Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. H.G. Feldmann officiating. Mr. Barnum was a second cousin of Carl Rolph of Delphos. Those from out of town to attend the funeral were: Mrs. Golda Barnum, Buford, Barbara and Beatrice; Mrs. Helen Roy, Miss Elsie Ragdall, Dick Morgan, and Mr. Keith, all of Atoka; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Barnum and daughter Bernita, of Leon, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Burger, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Burger of Randall; and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Burger of Agra; and Mrs. Addie Leach and Mrs. Winifred Harvey of Beloit.
