From the Middletown Times Herald, Middletown, New York, Monday, March 2, 1936: Deaths and Funerals. Port Jervis--Mrs. Ida Barnum died early today at the home of her son, Harry R. Barnum of South Maple avenue after a long illness. She was born in Florida, March twenty-fifth, 1868, a daughter of Ida and Charles Cronk. Mrs. Barnum was a member of the Drew Methodist Church. Surviving relatives are three sons, Harry, Clarence and Walter of Port Jervis; two sisters, Mrs. William Gaffney of Yonkers and Mrs. Carrie Norton of Rutherford, and four brothers, Pierson and Bernard Cronk of Middletown, Charles and Fred Cronk of Rutherford. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at her son's home. Interment will be in Laurel Grove cemetery.
