A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Union Sun & Journal, Lockport, New York, September 14, 2002: David J. Barnum of Middleport, NY, 83 years old, husband of Geraldine Lampkins Barnum, died Thursday, September 12, 2002 in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Survived by his daughter and her husband, Darcy and Melvin Seefeldt of Middleport, NY; grandfather of Kevin Seefeldt of Phoenix, AZ; brother of Gloria Ray of Ormond Beach, FL; brother-in-law of Clifford and Carolyn Walker of Boynton Beach, FL; also survived by several nieces and one nephew. Inurnment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Mr. Barnum was born in Lyndonville, N.Y., March 21, 1919, the son of the late Clifford and Gladys Bangham Barnum. He married Geraldine Lampkins October 31, 1941. He was an Army-Air Force WWII Veteran who served his country from 1943-1945. He last worked for Howell Motors as an automobile salesman, retiring in 1984. He had worked in the auto business for over 40 years. He moved to Middleport in 1954. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Middleport, the United Church Bowling League for over 40 years, past member of the Somerset Lodge. He and his wife have spent winter in Boynton Beach, FL for several years.
