Obituary from an unknown contemporary newspaper: Sarah Henrietta Gardner Barnum, age 90, of Dowling Park, Florida., formerly of Danbury, Connecticut, died on Sunday, June 20, 1999 in Dowling Park, Fla. She was the widow of Chester A. Barnum. Mrs. Barnum was born in Danbury, Connecticut on July 10, 1908, a daughter of the late Henry C. and Loretta Wilkes Gardner. She lived in Danbury until 1950, moving to Unadilla, N.Y. In 1989, she moved to Dowling Park, Fla. She was a former member of the Advent Christian Church in Danbury and was secretary of the Loyal Workers for many years and primary age Sunday school class. Burial is at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury, Connecticut.
