A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Deseret News and Telegram, Friday, May 31, 1963: Caroline Christene (sic) Stephensen Gunderson, 78, 237 W. 5th North, died of a heart ailment Thursday at 2:05 p.m. in a local hospital.
Born Aug. 15, 1884, Levan. Juab County, a daughter of George C. and Axelina M. Petersen. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Active in Primary and Relief Society. Married to John Henry Gunderson Oct. 16, 1907 in Levan. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He died April 9, 1956.
Survivors: four sons, Leon Henry, Butte, Mont.; George Elden, Salt Lake City; Armand Yens, Covina, Calif.; Grant Pershing, Baldwin Park, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Lionel (Arlene) Hadfield, La Puente, Calif.; one brother, George P. Stephensen, Salt Lake City, 25 grandchildren.
Funeral Monday, Levan Ward chapel. Time to be announced. Friends may call at 36 E. 7th South Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church in Levan before services. Burial Levan Cemetery.
