Barnum, or "Billie" as all his friends here called him, was one of the leading attorneys here in the early days. They lived in North First street, up near the ice plant. Later they moved to Arizona for Mrs. Barnum's health. Mr. Barnum still lives there, in Phoenix. He reached the top of his profession there, and became Supreme Court judge and also served as Democratic national Committeeman.
