From the Journal Register, Medina, New York, April 17, 2014: Medina, NY- Jessie "Edna" Barnum, 90, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home. Edna was born on February 15, 1924 to Cordelia Mae Simmonson Boyle and Frank Ernest Boyle. She was a lifetime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church where she was active in the Altar Guild and Women's Group. She also was a lifelong member of the Welcome Rebekah Lodge, where she served as Past Noble Grand and past State Outside Guardian. She is predeceased by her husband, Vernon P. Barnum, in January of 1997; three sisters, Lillian Boyle, Florence Rook and Aida Hatch; two brothers, her twin, James "Arnold" Boyle and Frank Boyle; two sisters-in-law, Esther Hedley and Ruth Geiger. She is survived by three children, Holly (Robert) Guzik, Bonnie (Richard) Fisher, all of Medina and Michael (Alice) Barnum of Lyndonville; five grandchildren, Mark Guzik of Medina, David (Alyssa) Guzik of Williamsville, Kenneth (Many) Fisher of Chili, Stephanie (Steven)Schepis of Albion and Kelly (Brian Wetherbee) Fisher of Medina; three great-grandchildren, Sienna, Luke, Clara; three siblings, Marie Conolly, Carolyn Boyle and Carl (Mary) Boyle.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 10-11 AM at the St. John's Episcopal Church, 200 E. Center St., Medina, NY, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Nancy Gunther officiating. Burial will be in the Boxwood Cemetery, Medina.
