From an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Mrs. Mary A. (Wigley) Barnum died Aug 1, 2002, at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Cape Coral, Fla.
Born Dec. 10, 1916 [sic], in Moravia, Pa., she was a resident of Chardon and Geneva for more than 50 years before moving to Ft. Myers, Fla., in 1993.
She was an avid collector of antiques.
Survivors are her daughters, Joyce Sawyer of Middlefield and Joan (Larry) White of Ft. Myers., Fla.; son, James Barnum of Ft. Myers, Fla.; sister, Lillian Cowles of West Pittsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Forest "Curly" Barnum, whom she married in New Castle, Pa. on Jan. 10, 1940, died in 1983. Her parents, Walter and Mary Wigley; six brothers; and four sisters are also deceased.
Burial will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery in Chardon.
