He was born January 28, 1887 at Neligh, Nebraska and married Laura M. Van Marte at Portland March 29, 1913. He was a member of the Christian Church at Pleasant Hill and lived in that community the past 20 years. Surviving are his widow, a son, Erwin, Eugene; two daughters, Nancy Remsburg, San Mateo, California and Marie Fisch, Priest River, Idaho; 2 grandchildren and a brother, Heber of Oakridge.
