Notes for Edward Franklin BARNUM


From the Times Record, Troy, NY, Monday October 11, 1965: Edward Franklin Barnum, 65, of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla., a retired lieutenant colonel of the U.S. Army, died Friday in Bay Pines Veterans Hospital, Bay Pines, Fla., after a long illness. Born in Averill Park, he was a veteran of the AEF in England and France during World War I. He was vice president of the Air-Don Co. of Albany, Schenectady and Pittsfield until World War II. He served in the Africa and China-Burma-India campaigns in World War II, and the Korean War. He retired from the Army in 1956. Lt. Col. Barnum is survived by his wife, Vincene A. of St. Petersburg Beach, and a brother, Allan L. of Troy. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
