Edwin Allen (or Alan) Barnum was born March 11, 1888, (WWI draft card) to Frederick Ellsworth Barnum and Nettie Marsden. He died February 3, 1961 in Dunedin, Florida. According to Florida Deaths his middle name was spelled Alan. He married Marie Haldemann on December 9, 1910 in Utica, New York. She was the daughter of Karl Haldemann and Susanna Knutty and was born in Switzerland on May 29, 1890 (New York County Marriages). The couple had one daughter, Bernice, who married twice.
From the Daily Sentinel, Rome, N. Y., Thursday, February 9, 1961: Lyons Falls Former Resident Dies in Florida. Lyons Falls - Word has been received here of the death last Saturday in Dunedin, Fla., of Edwin Barnum, a former resident. Mr. Barnum and his family resided here for many years while he was station agent for the New York Central Railroad. He and his wife, the former Marie Haldemann of Utica, have been residing in Florida for about nine years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Everett Schultheis, Delmar.
