From the Daily Press, Utica, New York, Saturday, January 12, 1963: Sauquoit—Charles O. Barnum, 77, died yesterday in a Uticahospital. He was born in Utica and educated in Utica schools. He had lived inthis village for the past 10 years. Mr. Barnum had owned and operated grocerystores in the Utica area and also managed A&P stores in the area. He waslast employed by the Sitrue Paper Co. and retired in 1952. He married LauraKlumbach of Utica in 1909. She died in 1945. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. JeanClark, Sauquoit and Mrs. Arthur (Edith) Kerber, Mohawk; four sons Frederick,Ypsilanti, Michigan; Roderick, Sauquoit; Walter, Utica; and Robert, Plainfield,N.J.; two brothers, Roy, Utica and Robert, Alexandria, Virginia; and a sisterMrs. Mildred Board, Utica. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica.
