A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From The Pantagraph, Bloomington, Illinois, Saturday, November 12, 1938: Leroy- Percy D. Barnum, 68, former postmaster of Leroy and retired businessman died at 8:45 am Friday at his home here. He had been in ill health for several years.
The funeral will be held Sunday at the home here. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Barnum was born in Leroy May 30, 1870, the son of Samuel F. and Eliza Patterson Barnum. On December 26, 1895 he married Miss Retta C. Croskey of West Township.
Surviving are his wife; two children, Edwin Croskey Barnum, Wilmington, Del. and Mrs. Rachel Cassity, Pittsfield; a brother, George, Gendrick, Idaho and a nephew.
