A 1965 graduate of Hopkins High School and Univ. of Minnesota alumnus, Gary lived in New York for the past 35+ years where he worked as an advertising copywriter. Preceded in death by parents, Alymer R. and Constance A. Barnum, of Edina. Survived by brother, Jim and sister-in-law, DeDe Barnum, of Wayzata; and fiancée, Ellen Cohen (Cargan) of New York. A private celebration of Gary's life was held in New York on August 30, 2013.
