From the Lima News, March 7, 1932: Aged Lima Resident dies in home Monday: John Barnum, 73, died at 7 am Monday in the home of his son Loren of 469 East Pearl Street from a complication of diseases. He had been a resident of Lima for the past 15 years and is survived by four sons, Loren at whose home he died, Ellsworth of Route 2 Lafayette, Floyd of Lima and Carl of Beaverdam, Mrs. Estella Powell of Brookland, Michigan; one sister Mrs. Elizabeth Keel of Columbus Grove; one brother Smith Barnum of St. Cloud, Minn. And seven grandchildren.
From the Lima News, March 8, 1932: Funeral services for Thomas Barnum, 73, who died in the home of his son Loren Barnum, Monday will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the High St United Brethren church. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery near Rawson.
