From the Eugene Register-Guard (Oregon), January 10, 1929: Mrs. Carrie Lela Miller,former resident of Eugene passed away at her home in Portland, Tuesday, January 8. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Barnum, Eugene...Interment will be at the old IOOF Cemetery. Mrs. Miller came to Oregon and to Eugene as a child with her parents in 1904. She was born June 1, 1891 in Neligh, Nebraska. On June 4, 1912 she was married to George Miller. The survivors include her husband, four children Helen, Stanley, Lela and Alome; her parents, two brothers, Milford and Heber Barnum and one sister in the east.
