Edgar Alfred Pugsley was born May 29, 1878 in Patterson, NY. (World War I draft card).
From the Putnam County Courier, Thursday, May 23, 1963: Edgar A. Pugsley, a resident of Smith Street, Pawling, NY, died Tuesday, May 21, 1963, at the Lovely Hill Nursing Home, Pawling. His age was 85 and he had been in ill health for about six weeks. Born May 29, 1878, in Patterson, the deceased was the son of Josephine Barnum and Lewis Pugsley, Sr. He attended local schools and was self employed as a carpenter. He had been a resident of Pawling for more than 50 years. In 1906, he was united in marriage with Dorothy Akin. She died in 1959. One son, Kenneth A. Pugsley of Millbrook, two brothers, Lewis G. Jr. and Sterling, and one sister, Mrs. Towner Kent all of Patterson survive.
Private funeral services will take place this Thursday afternoon followed by cremation at Ferncliff.
