A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Harlem Valley Times, Thursday, June 12, 1947: Mrs. Maude H. Barnum, 56, wife of the late. J. Edmund Barnum, who made her home in Amenia Union for some time, died Saturday in St. Luke's Hospital, New York City after an illness of nearly a year. Mrs. Barnum was born in Missouri on January 1, 1891, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harrington. She was a graduate nurse and was employed for several years at the Wassaic State School. Her husband died September 26, 1931. Burial was in the Amenia Union Cemetery.
