Mr. Caney was born in the town of New Lisbon and would have been fifty-three years of age if he had lived, until next April. For the past twenty-five years he had been a faithful and competent employee of Edward Severin Clark at the Fenimore Farm. His death removes a man highly respected by all. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. George Caney; his wife; a daughter, Catherine D., a son, Robert; two sisters, Mrs. William Weatherby of Richland Springs, and Miss Ina Caney, and two brothers, George D. Caney and Arthur Caney both of Richfield Springs. The funeral was held at the house at 1 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon. Interment in Lakewood Cemetery.
