From the San Francisco Chronicle, Friday, June 6, 2003: Barnum, June Lucretia - The final chapter in the life of June Lucretia Barnum was brought to a close on June 2, 2003, in San Francisco. A fourth generation Californian, she was born in Loyalton, Sierra County, on December 18, 1928, and lived in San Francisco for over 70 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Millard M. Barnum. She is survived by her dear mother, June D. Barnum, with whom she had a special bond that was apparent to all who knew them. Also surviving her are her brother Tulie, her nieces, Lori and Kristy, her nephew Kirk, and three great nieces and nephews, Lauren, Neil, and Chase. Her three most cherished pleasures were family, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Mills College, all of which stood in importance to her over her law practice. She was highly respected and admired as she provided leadership in the OES at local, state, and international levels. June lived strictly by her watchwords: Dignity, Integrity, and Loyalty. She will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
