From the Evansville Courier & Press, Evansville, Indiana, November 7, 1999: E. Alan Mahannah Jr., 76, of Evansville, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at his home. He retired from Keller Crescent Co. and was the former president of the Tri-State Ad Club. He was an Army Air Corps veteran and had been a prisoner of war in Germany. He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, where he sang in the choir. He also sang with the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus. Surviving are his wife, Helen; three daughters, Peggy Mahannah of Gary, Ind., Kathy Paine of Blaine, Minn., and Beth Cornelius of Evansville; a son, Lawrence of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, Gerald of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Dennis R. Davenport officiating. Burial of remains will be in Alexander Memorial Park Crematory.
