From the Buffalo News, Buffalo, NY, May 29, 2001: A Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond Barnum Jr., a retired advertising manager at Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corp., will be offered at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 76 Church St. (Lockport, NY). Interment will be scheduled in Forest Lawn, Buffalo.
Barnum, 79, died Sunday (May 27, 2001) in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born in Lockport, he served as a second lieutenant in the Army Air Forces during World War II. Barnum worked for 40 years at Harrison and retired as the company's advertising manager in 1980. He was a 55-year member of Lodge 41, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, the former Gloria Epps; three sons, Paul C. of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Peter R. and Patrick T., both of Lockport; a brother, Harry of Lockport; and two grandchildren.
