From the Syracuse Herald Journal, Syracuse, NY, August 23, 1996: Dale O. Barnum, 90, of W. Murray Drive in Cicero, New York died August 21, 1996 at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. He was born in Ridgway, Illinois and he resided most of his life in the Baldwinsville area. Barnum was formerly employed with Titcombs Department Store in Baldwinsville for 21 years and was also assistant manager with W.T. Grant Co. He was a member of the Baldwinsville First Presbyterian Church. Barnum was also a member and past governor of the Baldwinsville Moose Lodge #644. He was a 35 year member of the Seneca River Lodge F.A.M. #160. Barnum worked on the Republican Committee for the town of Lysander for six years and was acting mayor of Baldwinsville under C.B. Frawley for four years. And, he was on the Baldwinsville Village Board for six years. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, one son, Jerry Barnum of Liverpool; one daughter, Joan Burton of Cicero; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services were on Aug. 23 at the Gates Funeral Home. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.
