A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Daily Journal, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, March 28, 1972: Mrs. Martha Barnum, 86, Evansville, a former resident of Breckenridge, died yesterday at the Crestview Manor Nursing Home, Evansville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial in the Vukku Cemetery near Doran.
She was born January 21, 1885, near Fergus Falls, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zuehlsdorff. She grew upon her parents' farm and attended country school. She married Albert Barnum in Chicago and in 1929 they moved to Wilkin County and farmed near Foxhome for many years. After her husband's death in 1952, she moved to Breckenridge where she lived until entering the nursing home four years ago. Surviving are two sons, Milburn, Breckenridge, and Cyril, Moorhead; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Munger, Duluth, and Mrs. Linda Clamby, Fergus Falls; nine grandchildren and 15 great - grandchildren.
