Notes for Stanley Richard BARNUM

Obituary from an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Stanley Richard Barnum was born January 26, 1954, in Fargo, ND, to Cyril and Sybil (Hardie) Barnum. Stan attended Grace Lutheran School, Fargo, and the Moorhead schools. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1973. Stan was Moorhead High’s first State Wrestling Champion in 1973. He later wrestled for NDSU. He married Peggy Schwartz of Fargo in December of 1990. Stan drove truck for Lewis Truck Lines, Fargo, and Tri-State Auction, West Fargo, ND. He was a founding member of the local band Let-‘Er-Buck that played in the Fargo-Moorhead area for many years. Long after leaving the professional music field, music continued to be an important part of Stan’s life and he was often asked to sing for special occasions. He especially enjoyed the times when he could sing with his loved ones.
