From an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Buster passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon in Corsicana. He was born in Corsicana and attended Mildred Schools. He served in the US Army during WWII and Korea, earning 2 Bronze Stars, and the Korean Service Medal. Buster married Annie Barnum November 8, 1952 in Waxahachie. He was owner/Operator of Wright Studios in Waxahachie for 46 years, retiring in 1997. Before his Photography business he had been a Waxahachie Police Officer and had worked at LTV.
Buster was a charter member of the Heritage Baptist Church where he was Deacon Emeritus. His survivors include: sister, Willie Mae Owen and her husband Royce of Corsicana, and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, his wife of 51 years, Annie, and two brothers, Calvin Wright and Clyde Cagle, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Heritage Baptist Church with Brother Tim Gibson and Brother Roy Brashear officiating. Interment will follow in the City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Pace, Kenneth Bryant, Butch Nelson, Billy Walker, Randall Osborn and James Williamson.
