Notes for Myrtle Irene BARNUM


From the Fond du Lac Reporter, Wisconsin, Tuesday, April 11, 1972: Mrs. Myrtle Cikanek, 59, of 126 Nebraska St., Horicon, died Monday morning at Beaver Dam Community Hospital, Hillside Unit, where she was ill for several weeks.
Born July 28, 1912, in Black River Falls, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Barnum. She married Emil Cikanek on Oct. 6, 1928. Survivors include her widower; two daughters, Mrs. Ethelmae Radke of Hartford and Mrs. Evangeline Roesslein of Cary, Illinois; one son, Osborne Cikanek of West Bend; one sister, Mrs. Mary Callahan of La Crosse; two brothers, Reuben Barnum of Black River Falls and Tilford Barnum of Woodstock, Illinois; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one sister and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ulmer Funeral Home in Horicon with the Rev. C. G. Schnorr officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Garden Cemetery in Horicon.
